This old celluloid doll was made in Germany by the Rheinische Gummi company. Not only does the doll bear the turtle mark but she also retains her original paper hang tag with the turtle. Beside the turtle she is also marked 18 ½ 19. The little girl has a sweet face with painted features and molded hair. Her head is stationary but the arms and legs are jointed. She is dressed in traditional attire typical of Tyrolean children. Her molded felt hat is glue on to her head. The shoes and socks are painted. Sewn to the front of her apron is a paper label that reads; Tirolerin. I believe she is from the 1950’s.
She measures about 7 ¼” high and is in very good, original condition with minimal wear and no damage. The stringing is weak but she can stand briefly if not bumped. The hat has some edge wear and the paper label has some tears.
