This pretty porcelain creamer and sugar bowl set is beautifully decorated with a garland of flowers that look like roses and daises bordered with a geometric design. The old cream and sugar have a white ground and the flowers are pinks and lavender with pale greenery. The link-like boarder is in muted reddish orange and pale drab green, a very interesting contrast of shapes and colors. The rims and the handles of both pieces are gold trimmed. The bottom of each is marked; B & Co - France - L. Bernardaud & Co. Limoges and they are both incised with the number 4.
The sugar measures about 3 3/8” in diameter across the top, 6 ¾” across at the handles and 3 5/8” high with the lid on. The creamer measures about 2 3/8” in diameter excluding the spout, about 4 1/8” across the at the spout and handle and about 2 5/8” high. Both pieces are in nice condition with minimal wear, mostly to the gold edge and in particular to one handle on the sugar. The only damage is a tiny chip on the inside rim of the sugar lid which I have shown in the photo.
Priced and sold as the set.
