These old postcards are from a series of military humor. They both have a linen texture, and are about the woes of life in the navy.
On one, Our Wavy Navy, the character dressed in Navy blues is looking a bit distressed as a shapely redhead holds up a large frock and says; This Would Fit a Tidal Wave. At the bottom it reads; NV-319 with a MWM copyright and on the left side is; H.H.Hutson, USNR.
The other features a sailor looks like he could be related to Beetle Bailey. He’s “Fishing Around” in his little row boat, for someone to write. At the bottom it reads; NV-315 H.H.Hutson ’43 with a MWM copyright.
No stamp, postmark or correspondence on the back of either. They measure about 3 1/2” by 5 1/2” and are very good condition with minimal edge wear.
Priced and sold as the pair (2).
