This is the sweetest little coat for Ginny dolls made of dyed blue rabbit fur. The lined coat has a hook and eye closure at the neck. It has the Vogue Dolls - Medford, Mass. label sewn into the hem on the inside. The coat also comes with a matching fur hat that resembles the hat worn by Tonya in Dr. Zhivago. The hat has a lining that matches the coat and there is an elastic chin strap that is sewn to the elastic headband of the hat. In a 1954 catalog the Fur Coat set, #484 is only listed in white but I believe this is from roughly the same time period.
The coat measure about 4” in length and about 5 ½” across at the sleeves. Both pieces are in very nice condition with pretty baby blue color, minimal wear or discoloration. Someone has written the initials LLG inside the rim of the hat.
As a side note, this Ginny coat can double as a terrific jacket for fashion dolls like Barbie.
