This vertical pocket tin is an old, Kentucky Club Pipe & Cigarette Tobacco tin. The colorful red tin has nice graphics with the same image on both the front and the back. It shows a horse, with its jockey dressed in a red jacket, jumping over a rail fence. Across the bottom it reads; For Pipe Lovers. The tobacco was Blended by Willoughby Taylor and it was made by the Penn Tobacco Co. of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. It has a hinged lid and under the front edge it reads; Cut and Blend Recommended for Rolling Cigarettes.
The empty tin measures about 4 7/16" by 3" by 15/16" and is in very nice condition with good gloss and minimal wear. There is a dent, right in the middle of the back side, between the horses back and the rider’s chest. It has some light scratches and rub wear on the lid.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
