I believe this seldom seen cream and sugar set are old Shawnee lambs. They are hand painted with closed eyes, peach colored accents and black hair tufts. They are both adorned with floral decals and also enhanced with gold. The open sugar lamb has a large gold bow and gold detailing around its haunches. The lamb pitcher has an open mouth and a gold handle between the painted bow. It also has the gold detail around its haunches. Neither piece is marked anywhere that I can see but do believe they were made by the Shawnee pottery company in the 1940’s or 1950’s.
The sugar bowl measures about 3 ½” high by 5” tail to ear and 2 ½” across the haunches. It is in very nice condition with minimal wear to the paint, decals and gold.
The creamer measures about 4 3/8” tall and has minimal wear to the decals and gold. There is some flaking of the paint on the bow. There are also two, faint, stress cracks, the worst one on the bottom and up the side a little and the other up the right haunch. These are both faint but noted as damage.
