This old kitchen apron is probably from the 1950’s or 60’s and is dainty and a bit sexy! It appears to be made of sheer, baby blue organdie with a ruffled white lace trim. The applied pocket is sheer white with a machine embroidered floral design. The ties are sewn to the waist band which is sewn to the gathered skirt. Although this has no label, I think it is a manufactured rather than homemade piece.
It measures about 18 ¾” long from the top of the waist band to the bottom of the lace trim and 20” across at the waist without the ties which measures about 19 ½” each. It is good, however, used condition. One edge of the pocket didn’t get folded under when it was stitched so there is a slight amount of fraying. I have shown this in the photo. There are a couple of small stains and a tiny pinhole which I have shown in the photos as well. I have not washed this.
