This old book in an homage to the craftsmen in America. It covers artisans in varying fields including textiles, basketry, quilting, pottery, wood carving and instrument making as a few examples. There are 198 color pages including the index and the book is filled with descriptive narrative and color pictures. It would make a fine gift for anyone who appreciates the art of making things by hand. This is a hardbound edition, published by the National Geographic Society with a 1975 copyright date. It comes with its original dust jacket.
It is in very good condition with minimal wear. The linen covered hardbound cover has been protected by the dust jacket. The pages of the book are unmarked, fresh and clean and it has a tight spine. The dust jacket is nice but shows some edge wear with a few small tears and some minor scuff wear.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
