This old postcard is paying tribute to Betsy Ross who, lore has it, created the first American Flag. The picture shows Ross and three other young women sewing the thirteen starred flag. The inset to the right depicts the Betsy Ross house in Philadelphia. This was probably printed in the 1940’s and could have been sent as a July 4th Greetings. It has a linen finish and was published by Asheville Post Card Company. There is no correspondence, stamp or postmark on the back.
It measures about 3 ½” by 5 ½” and is very nice condition with minimal edge and corner wear.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
