This diecast toy is fashioned after the 1918 Ford runabout that Texaco jobbers and distributor used during the roaring twenties. The Model-T is made of both die cast metal and plastic. It is painted black and red and feature the Texaco decal on the doors. The canopy is plastic with a texture to resemble the original cloth. The back end is the coin box with a slot on the top. The sides has a decal that reads; The Texas Company - Petroleum & Its Products. The front grill and the running boards have the Ford emblem. The white, hard rubber tires have the Ertl name. Stamped into the plastic bottom it reads; Ertl - Dyersville, Iowa U.S.A. - Made in U.S.A. - Replica 1918 Ford Model “T” Runabout. Below the coin box is a small, removable door with a plastic key so you can lock-up your saving and remove them when you want.
It measures about 5 ½” in length, 2 5/8” across the front fenders and about 3 3/8” high. The paint is in very good condition with minimal wear and the decals and tires are good also. I does come with the original key. It does NOT come with the original box.
