This old knife has an appealing shape and size. Typically considered a hunting knife by the shape, this could have been used for boning or skinning. It has the classic look of many German made knives with a brass guard and colored spacers at either end of the hilt. It would appear that the tang is secured by the screw in the end of the pommel which looks like a quality detail. The polished stag handle has nice grain and coloring. I see no maker on the blade which has a nice edge. This does not come with a sheath.
Overall it measures about 5 ¾” in length and the blade portion measures about 2 7/8” long by 7/16” wide. It is in very nice condition with minor wear and minimal pits in the metal. It does appear that it has been polished.
