This old pipe has a heavily textured bowl made of dark burl wood. The design reminds me of a Hawaiian tiki with exaggerated features like his tongue sticking out. The eyes appear to be round pieces of abalone shell set into the wood. The wood is not stamped briar nor does it have a manufacturer or country of origin. The stem has a smooth line to the curve and is marked with a “W” within a circle.
It measures about 5” from the outside of the bowl to the end of the mouth piece and the top of the bowl measures about 1 ¼” in diameter. It is in used condition with teeth marks and discoloration to the stem and the inside of the bowl is charred and sooty. I have not been able to remove the stem and will not force it so I do not know if it is useable.
