This Open Sugar Bowl was made by the Frankoma pottery in the Wagon Wheel pattern which was originally introduced in 1942. I believe this may be their Coffee Brown glaze over the red Sapulpa clay. The coffee glaze was used between 1973 & 1988. It is a glossy glaze and unlike the Brown Satin color usually found. This is also a commemorative piece with; Ozark Niroga - 1988 molded across the top on one side. It is marked on the bottom with the Frankoma name and the mold number 94B which is the sugar bowl. The sugar bowl came both with and without a lid.
It measures about 3 3/4" tall and about 4" wide through the middle. It is in good condition with almost no wear. There is a very tiny nick off the glaze on the bottom edge of the wheel on the side with the writing.
