This colorful, self framed old tin sign is advertising; Cord on End - Biltrite Soles. An example of the sole is shown and it reads; for Greater Safety - Biltrite Will Not Slip - Cord-on-End Soles - for Longer Wear. The letters of "Biltrite" are depressed for dimension. This tin over cardboard sign can be hung on the wall by the original cord or set on a shelf using the foldout easel on the back which appears to have never been folded out. On the lower left hand corner it appears to read; The Henry Jaffe Co., N.Y.C. but some of it is chipped off or covered by a bit of rust.
It measures about 13 1/4" by 9" and is in nice condition with good colors and gloss and minor wear. There is a scratch over the L & O of "Longer" at the bottom of the sign. The sign is also tweaked from corner to corner and doesn't lie flat as seen in the last couple of pictures. The cardboard on the back is water stained.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
