This is a nice, old Elks Lodge stud for wearing on a lapel and it commemorates 30 years as a member. The elk head is in relief and between the antlers is the clock emblem which is blue and white enamel with a red enamel star. It also appears that the eyes of the elk are enameled in red. Below the elk head are the initials BPOE and at the base of the elk’s neck, in blue enamel, it reads; 30 Years. The head is gold plated over sterling silver. The back is marked Sterling and it has a threaded post. There is a screw on keeper that is a very shiny silver color but probably not silver. Although the color is completely different than elk portion , I have had others that have had this same combination and I believe it is probably original.
It is very small and measures about 5/8” high by about 7/16” across. It is in nice condition with minimal wear and no damage. There is a little silver showing through on the elk’s nose.
