This old, cream colored plastic ring box has embossed panels on the sides and a gold design panel on the front and top. Inside is a maroon velvet pillow with a slot for displaying an antique ring. It’s a slightly thicker slot which would hold a band or man's ring. In the hinged lid is a fabric insert with no advertising. The bottom of the box is marked Dennison - U.S.A. - U.S. Pat.Des and a patent number that dates it to 1940.
It is in nice condition with minor wear. The maroon fabric has discolored the edges of the light colored fabric in the lid. The hinge works well and it snaps shut but the lid doesn't look like it closes as tight on the left as it does on the right but it appears to be the way it was made. It measures about 3 1/8" by 2" and 1 3/8" high when closed.
