This is an exceptional, old celluloid piece from Germany that holds a glass perfume vial. The beautiful Indian woman carrying a papoose looks like a rendition of Sacajawea of the Lewis & Clark Expedition. The figure conceals the perfume vial under her skirt. The top portion lifts off to reveal a capped cylinder. Remove the cap and you can take out the vial. The tiny bottle is made of clear glass with blue, orange and white threads running through it. It has a glass dauber but it seems to be stuck and I can't remove the stopper. This was apparently a souvenir as it is marked; Blue Hole - Castalia Ohio. The celluloid base on which she stands is marked Germany.
It stands about 2 3/4" tall and is very good condition. The celluloid is in very fine condition with good color and gloss. The base is slightly warped so she has a tendency to lean to the side. The vial measures about 1 7/8" long.
