This old, celluloid backed mirror is the size of the celluloid advertising paperweights but this one has a metal loop handle. The picture is a woman, probably from the late 1800’s by the dress and hairstyle, with a small porcelain cup raised to her smiling lips, note the raised pinkie finger. There is no advertising and no maker. The mirror is set in a painted black metal ring.
The celluloid portion measures about 3 7/16” in diameter the overall length is about 6 5/8” and is in good condition. The celluloid is nice with no cracks or splits and light scratch wear. The mirror side has dark areas around the outer edge where the silvering is gone but it is not cracked or broken and in generally good condition. The metal ring and handle have some paint loss.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
