This old desk top, wire stapler is simple in design but was promoted as being the Three-in-One Stapler (Plier-Tacker-Fastener) and apparently it was not only great in the office but could be used for temporarily repairing clothing and a whole list of other things. It has a black, metal body with a Bakelite base and knob. It can be snapped off of the base to be used for tacking or even carried in a vest pocket. It was made in the U.S.A. by the Bostitch company and it has patents dating it to 1944. It comes with its original display box which has instructions printed on the outside. It also comes with an box of old, unused staples (approximately 1,000.).
The stapler measures about 5 ½” by 1 3/8” by 1 ¾” high and is in very good original, working condition. The box measures about 5 5/8” by 1 ¾” by 2 ¼” and is in nice but used condition. It has light crease and edge wear and some soiling. The top flap crease is worn and someone has tested the stapler on the top flap but it is still so informational that it is still nice even with the flaws. The box of staples has edge wear and a few staples are missing from the box.
