This small figure of a male athlete going over a hurdle is an old pencil sharpener. It is made of white metal which is painted to enhance the details. On the back is the blade for sharpening a pencil. The back is painted gold and is stamped Japan at the top. I believe this is probably from the 1930’s or 1940’s.
It measures about 1 ¾” tall by ¾” across the base and is in nice condition with good color, no damage to the metal and minor chip wear to the paint. The blade looks to be in very good, unused condition.
