This little figural bottle, in the shape of a wooden shoe, once contained Cherry Liqueur. The shoe is heavily decorated in typical flow blue tones on a white ground. If it weren’t for all of the original labels I think it probably has a Dutch windmill scene across the top. One label shows this is from the Rynbende distilleries of Holland. The label across the toe shows this was 1/10 Pint and it was imported by Briones & Co. of New York. Across the top, over the original cork is the tax label. Since it is still corked and sealed and appears to be empty it seems the spirits have leeched out and evaporated over the years. Some obviously seeped out through the cork and leeched out through the heel. Hand painted on the bottom it appears to read; Delfts Bl EY/. I believe this is from the 1970’s.
It measures about 4” long by 1 5/8” wide and 1 ¾” high and is in nice condition with minimal wear. The labels have wear, tears and stains and the bottom is stain as previously mentioned and as is shown in the photos.
