This wooden rack was probably used in an old general store for displaying Paris brand suspenders. It would also work well to display other items such as ties as shown in our pictures. It is probably made of oak or ash with a dark finish. The base is an irregular shape which has a hole in the center for the post to fit into, this was probably glued at one time but will actually ship better this way. There are three arms extending from the post, two vertical and one horizontal, each with two slots. At the very top is a piece with a decal on either side that reads; Paris Suspenders. It would be a nice prop in a general store setting or a great piece for showing off a classic necktie collection.
The overall height is about 29 1/2" and it measures about 20" from the lowest bar to the top of the base. In one direction the arms extend about 15 5/8" and in the other direction about 11 1/2". The base measures about 17 1/2" by 9 1/2". It is in good original condition. There is some wear to the finish and a tiny bit of light paint splatter. There is no structural damage although the post should probably be glued back into the base. This will take a large box to ship, approx. 20" by 20" by 30".
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
