These little paper items are old trade cards from businesses in Newburgh New York. They are all printed on card stock and have floral designs on the front and nothing on the back.
The first was advertising A.T.Squier & Sons, Dealers in Dry Goods, Notions & Fancy Goods. It measures about 1 13/16” by 3 3/8” and is in fair condition with minor edge and crease wear.
The second card was for R. Sterling, Merchant Tailor and Clothier. It is larger than most and measures about 2 7/16” by 4 1/8” and it is in fair condition with minor edge and crease wear and faint soiling.
The third piece was advertising J.W. Magee, Grocer & Shoe Dealer. It measures about 2” by 3 ¼” and is in fair condition with some edge and crease wear and light soiling.
The last card is especially interesting as it was advertising D.R.Franklin, Manufacturer & Dealer in Human Hair Goods of All Kinds. It measures about 1 7/8” by 3 ½” and is in fair condition with minor edge and crease wear. It appears to have some damage to the paper on the leaves of the calla lily.
These are being sold together as the group of four (4).
