This thick glass paperweight is an old souvenir/advertising piece for the Busy Alley - Union Stock Yards, Chicago. It has a tinted, sepia toned photo of the active stock yard with pens of cattle and riders on horseback. The back is slightly concave and has what appears to be a heavy opaque paint covering the back of the picture. I believe this is from the early 1900’s.
It measures about 2 5/8” by 4 1/16” by ¾” thick and is in very good condition with minimal wear and no chips or cracks.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
