This cute little tin is an old, promotional and 50 year commemorative, coin bank advertising Gerber’s Baby Food. The paper label on the tin can resembles the actual graphics that were used for the Gerber’s Strained Vegetable Products. One panel of the label has the ABC vitamin building blocks and “Strained Peas”. Another panel has the wonderful Gerber baby trademark with 1928-1978 “Fifty Years of Caring”. The other panel a list of the different products and a group of endorsers like Good Housekeeping among others. The top of the tin has a 1” coin slot but the bottom had no means of retrieving your savings. This was from the Gerber Products Division of the Fremont Canning Co. of Michigan.
It measures about 2 7/8” high and 2 1/8” in diameter. The paper label is in nice condition with minor edge wear and soiling.
