This is an old ski shield with two lenses from the 1960’s. The box has fun graphics and says these were from the makers of famous Ray-Ban sun glasses. The colored, plastic shield pieces snap onto a rubber-like visor that has a snap-on, adjustable strap. This has both the amber and green shields that were in the original box. On the box is the original price tag of $3.95 from Sturtevants of Sun Valley. The patent number dates this to 1962 but on one end of the box is a penciled date of 3/29/68.
The lenses measure about 7 ½” across and are in basically good condition with minor rub and scratch wear. The rubber visor and strap are in good condition and seem somewhat supple but being more than 45 years old, they probably wouldn’t hold up to any use and might crack or tear if stretched. The box measures just over 7 ½” long by 3 ¾” by1 ½” and is in fairly good condition with light wear. One inside flap is missing.
