This old, vinyl, 78 record was made by the Sav-Way Industries of Detroit, Michigan. The company produced colorful picture records for a very short period, from May of 1946 to August of 1947. This 10" record was there first recording numbered R707. On one side is Spencer Williams' Basin Street Blues and on the other side is Spencer Williams - Lucy Fletcher's Sugar Blues both performed by Clyde McCoy and his Orchestra. This record is also considered a piece of black memorabilia with the artwork on the side of Basin Street Blues. Although these records were great to look at, they were also played.
This one is in fairly good condition with good color and shows well to display. It has been played and shows scratches and dull spots when held in angled light. It has no edge chips but there is some light dimpling in the center section.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
