This vintage “wristwatch” is for play and would have been a lot of fun for a young boy in the 1950’s even though it's not meant to keep time. The face of the watch, behind the plastic crystal, is a cowboy that looks like Roy Rogers. He’s reared back on his horse and is twirling a lasso overhead. The hands of the watch move when the stem is turn but the are fixed in their relationship with one another. In other words it can be 4:00 or 5:05 or 6:10 and so on. The watch slides on the fabric, leatherette band that has three holes for adjustment with a metal buckle on one end.
The face of the watch measures about 1 1/4” in diameter and the overall length is about 6 7/8”. It is in nice condition with light wear. There is a rust looking spot on the 12 and a little discoloration along the lower left side of the face near the bezel. The band is slightly frayed along the edge and at the middle hole which was apparently the one that was used. The stem moves the hands but rather crudely and generally best backwards rather than forward.
