This vintage, miniature lamp has an aluminum base that is weighted in the bottom so it can’t be easily tipped over which makes it safer to use and suggests that it was made for use and not just decoration. The aluminum burner section unscrews for filling and it has a decorative brass knob for raising the 3/8” wide wick. It has a clear glass hurricane shade that fits into the holder. The top and bottom edge of the wavy glass are crude and unpolished. The bottom of the lamp is marked; Tapiol and there is remnants of a paper label that was probably a price sticker.
Overall it measures about 9 3/8” tall and the bottom of the base measures about 2 7/8" in diameter with the reservoir being slightly larger. It is in nice condition with minor wear. It has some light dents, scratches and a little pitting or speckled discoloration. It has not been polished. It has been used but probably not much and there is a lot of wick remaining, about 5".
