These items feature the Jackie Coogan who became a child star with his role in Charlie Chaplin’s “The Kid” in the early 1920’s. Coogan later was known for his role as Uncle Fester on the Addams Family but these pieces focus on the young boy.
The first item is a metal pencil box with the image of Jackie lithographed on the lid. The yellow box has a hinged lid with a gold interior. The bottom of the box is marked; Wallace Pencil Co. U.S.A.. The box measures about 7 ¾” by 2 ¼” by ¾” thick. The image is good and although there is age crazing the paint has nice gloss. It does show rub and scuff wear and loss of paint, primarily on the corners and edges and there are some light dents.
The five sheets of stationery are single folded sheets of paper with a nice image of Jackie Coogan. Almost hidden in the shirt area are the words; Best Wishes Jackie. These are not copies and they do not come with envelopes. The folded sheet measures about 3 3/8” by 5” and they are in good condition with minimal wear.
Priced and sold as the group.
