This is an un-issued, vintage stock certificate from the American Mines Development Co. which was based in Boise, Idaho in the late 1920’s.
Idaho has a long history of gold and silver mining and the American Mines Development Co. apparently operated in Gem and Boise counties during the 1920’s with L.S. Honstead as the President and Manager. Mr. Honstead was involved with mining in Silver City, the Quartzburg district and the Grandview property near Grimes Pass and apparently bought the Old Liberty Mine near Sweet in 1929.
This certificate is unused so no dates or signatures are present. One side of the certificate has the image of a great bald eagle at the top and at the bottom it states; Shares $1.00 Each. The other side of the certificate has panels that would have been very impressive when folded. The color of the paper and the green ink is very similar to American paper money of old. This is a vintage certificate, not a photocopy.
It measures about 8 5/16” by 10 7/8” and is in very good condition.
A total of five (5) certificates available each with a unique number in the upper left.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
