This little piece that looks like a butter pat or salt dip was made by the Frankoma Potteries of Oklahoma as a Christmas card. It is from 1976 and is called the Bicentennial with the United States silhouette and the Liberty Bell. The back bears the initials of Joniece Frank along with Merry Christmas 1976 Frankoma. It is done in White Sand glaze over the Sapulpa clay. The practice of sending pottery Christmas cards to friends of the Frank family began in 1944.
It measures just over 3" in diameter and is in very good condition with minimal wear and no damage.
