Old, Steuben #6287 Optic Ribbed Fan Vase
This vintage glass vase was apparently made by the Steuben Glass Co. of Corning New York during the Frederick Carder era of 1915-1932. It has a very nice color combination. The base is a peacock blue that, I believe, is called Celeste blue and the amber bowl could be the Steuben Topaz. The bottom has a polished, inverted pontil. I have been unable to find a signature but apparently that is common on these vases and the shape and color are well documented.
It measures about 8 3/8" high and about 6 5/8" across at the top of the fan by 1 1/8". The base measures about 3 7/8" in diameter. It is in good condition with minor wear and no chips or cracks. There are some rub marks on the fan, in particular there are two near the top edge, each about 1" in length, that almost look like someone used something abrasive to remove a price sticker. The bottom of the base shows average scuff wear.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
