ARM CHAIR, Classical Revival, Empire, carved arm, mahogany, 38"t, 19th C

Fine circa 19th century Classical Revival Empire arm chair,
- high grade solid mahogany,
- fine grade mahogany veneers on solid ash or elm skirt,
- expertly carved acanthus leaves on well formed arms scrolling into an elegant back,
- scroll carved crest rail,
- well turned front legs with ball foot,
- curved and canted rear saber legs,
- original slip seat-solid ash or elm frame.

35.5” tall, 22.5” wide, 23" deep. 17” seat height.
Condition – excellent original finish and patina, normal usage marks, one old repair on upper right of crest rail/scroll. 556h

- This chair is a powerful and elegant example of the best of Empire form, indications of the fine hand working attributes of the best of the 1800's Revival periods.
