Teapot, Carousel or Marquee style, Made in England

I believe this teapot was manufactured by Sadler England. The bottom is marked ENGLAND but the SADLER mark is missing.
The teapot measures 6 3/4 inches to the top of the finial and 8 1/2 inches from the tip of the spout to the outside of the handle.

It is a lovely floral teapot with the large flowers on the front side, and the same smaller flowers on the backside. The lid also has a single flower and bud on the front and the back. The bottom of the teapot on the outside has some crazing which does not show through on the inside of the teapot and the inside is in clean condition. There are no chips or cracks.

All the edges, the handle and the finial are accented with shiny gold gilt. There is a spot or two of minor wear to the gilt that is barely noticeable.

The scalloped bell shape is known as Carousel or Marquee which is a beautiful and attractive shape for a teapot. It would make a wonderful addition to any English china or teapot collection.
