Here is a wonderful booklet from the late 1970's that shows " a nostalgic collection of 24 Christmas postcards from turn-of-the-century Canada faithfully reproduced and ready for holiday mailing."
This booklet has 8 pages of postcards (three to a page). They are perforated so they can be separated and are ready for mailing. My pictures don't show all 24 postcards but the book is complete with all 24. I am sure it is pretty rare to still find this book intact.
The message inside the front cover reads:
"Today, Christmas post cards are rarely seen. Yet once upon a time - a different, perhaps simpler time - they were immensely popular. Thousands were happily posted each year - their holiday greetings out in the open, proudly shared with all the world.
"It is interesting, perhaps reassuring, to see in these turn-of-the-century cards the same wishes and messages we often send today. Christmas really hasn't changed. Each generation may have its own way of expressing it but the Christmas spirit is truly timeless and these post cards are as suited to Christmas this year as they were to their first Christmas so long ago."
The book is Copyright Collier Macmillan Canada Ltd. 1975. This may be the 5th printing from 1979. It is printed and bound in Canada. The SBN: 02-975700-2.
A lovely booklet with 24 very colorful and lovely reproduction Christmas cards that are ready for you to mail, or many lovely subjects to be framed.
