English Blue Willow 'Prestopan' Toby Cruet. C.1850
This was a highly popular figurine to add to the Blue Willow condiment set. This is different from other sets as there is the added blue willow pattern to the hat and around the base. This is also unusual as the figures has the hat. This figurine would be for mustard. There is an open area on the rim of the hat for the spoon handle to rest.
The name Prestopan is given to this set as this was the trade mark town in Scotland of Prestopan, a town 17 miles south of Edinburgh.
