Santa Snow Baby. c.1950
A sweet Santa ‘snow’ baby usually used to decorate a Christmas cake. This standing Santa is 1 3/4 inches. At first, the snow babies were made of sugar in Germany and eaten as a treat. Gradually the Snow babies were being copied by the English and Japanese and from 'snow babies' to Santas and elves. This Santa has been carefully preserved.
