Staffordshire Figurine Watch Holder, c. 1860-1880
A Staffordshire figurine of a woman and man standing beside a tree. Each is holding up a Peacock. This English Staffordshire figurine has gold gilt spots and lines on the large figurine, as well as black, which was added to the clothing. Light facial blush highlights. The condition is very good. There is a small kiln firing crack on the back of the figurine and a light crack on the base by the left shoe of the maiden. Some rubbed areas on the skirt and gold gilt.
Measurements: 10 1/2 inches high, 6 3/4 inches long and 2 1/4 inches at its widest point.
This Watch-Holder will be a lovely addition to a collection.
