19th Century English Staffordshire Cow Figurine
One of the favorite figurine, by people interested in Staffordshire Figurines, are the animal models which may be used and displayed. The ‘Cow’ was also used as a milk container/pitcher. This Cow figurine has a curled up tail, standing on four square legs on an oval stand. On the top side of the cow there is an opening, with a lid, where milk would be poured
Measurements: 5 inches high by 6 1/2 inches from the mouth to the tail; 3 inches wide. As seen in the photo the over shaped cover is in very nice condition. This ‘Cow’ figurine has been in a collection for a long time and was rarely used. There is a small nick on the underside of the base and other that this the figurine is in very nice condition and could be used.
