Popular History of England, Charles Macfarlane and Thomas Archer, Three Volumes, Blackie & Son, London, 1886
This is a three volume (complete) history of England bound in 3/4 leather with hard covers. The leather has gilt lettering and florals on the spine as well as gilt stringing on spines and covers. There is significant wear to the covers, and to the corners of the volumes. There is very minor foxing on the end pages, other wise the text, which marbleized along the edges, is in very good condition. The pages are intact, clean, and free of rips or marks. The books are illustrated with designs, portraits, costumes, and maps. Two of the illustrations are loose in Volume 3.
