1846 Exeter Hallmarked Horn Cup, Sterling Lip and Shield
A very nice horn drinking cup with a sterling silver hallmarked rim. The hallmarks reveal the maker as John Stone, Exeter, 1846 and Queen Victoria Duty Mark. Measurements: 4 3/4 inches high and at the widest point 2 7/8. Condition: Sides and lip of cup in good order. The underside window has been broken and for a few seconds the cup does hold a liquid and then begins to leak. I am guessing that this could be repaired.
This cup is old and looks great but needs a new glass base.
