Feather Edge Leave Dish C. 1850
A charming leaf-shaped dish that would have been used for a special dessert or pickled vegetables. The underside of this has a molded foot rim. There is a very evident blue pearlware glaze to the dish.
The leaf shape has the blue edge and as can be seen in the photo that there is some ‘sand’ caught in the final glaze. This small dish has survived many servings and would be a very nice feather edge piece in a collection. Measurements: 5 inches from point of the leaf to stem.
