19th Century English Carved Wood Step Stool
This is a carved wood step stool which we purchased in England. We date this to the early 19th century. The design of the carving on the top of the step stool includes a large flower in the center surrounded by four flowers at each of the four corners. Around the outside of the stool is a string of stars around the entire edge of the stool. The stool is sturdy as there are four legs and and a supporting wood length between the legs. The stool measures 12 3/4 inches wide and 8 15/16 inches deep. The stool is 5 inches high.
