English Staffordshire Figurine, John Wesley C.1850
A wonderful English Staffordshire figurine of John Wesley. This figurine is 7 inches high and stands on a circular base. The identifying name has been pressed into the mold and later filled in with black color so that the figurine could easily be identified. John Wesley is credited with being one of the main persons to have founded the Methodist Church in 1739.
This figurine has John Wesley wearing a cassock, looking down at his bible and reading one of the scriptures. This English molded figurine is in very good condition and has no cracks or chips. c.1850
