Unusual Tartan Ware Oblong/Linear Item c.1900
This is a 7 1/4 inches long, including the knob on one end, of the tartan ware ‘brick’ style of item. This long brick could have been part of a game for a child or had a more practical use as a ruler, a marker or a light paperweight. Each side of this item is covered in the tartan plaid and one end has the black knob with the opposite end has a slight domed black lacquer finish. Condition: Very good. no rips or tears to the paper, just slight wear to the edge of the long ‘brick’. There are no marking to help me with the name of the clan pattern.
