A very large English enamelware/graniteware, white with black highlights and trim, water jug. This pitcher is often called a coffee boiler. The coffee boiler would have the extra handle on the backside, under the long handle. The handle on the front of the pitcher has been set under the spout and this would be the extra support handle for extra help in carrying and pouring water.
This pitcher is measures 12 1/2 inches from the base to the top of the long handle. The widest part of the jug is along the bottom rim and measures 10 1/2 inches across without the handle or spout included. The pitcher is 12 1/2 inches wide from the handle edge to the spout rim. Condition: The body of this large pitcher is in very good condition with only minor marks to the surface. The large long handle has wear from use and other than some rusting to the base edge this is in good condition. There are no holes or leaks to this most unusual piece of graniteware.
A great item that could be added to a collection, used as a center piece with flowers or even to carry water.(Bought in England,no makers marks.)
