A very handsome English toiletries crystal jar with sterling silver hallmarked top. This toiletries glass jar may have been part of a dresser set. The jar has a glass stopper that fits nicely and is covered by the sterling top. The engraving on the top is the name ‘Bobs.' The lead crystal glass container is designed with a Pentagon shape with two sets of lines etched into the sides. There are five lines on each side.
This container is in very good order with no chips or cracks. The glass container measures 2 1/4 inches at the widest point and is 3 3/4 inches high with the sterling silver top on. On the sterling silver lid there are two minor dings in the soft sterling silver. This men’s toiletries item is from the end of the Victorian Era. The hallmarks on the sterling lid identifies the maker as Robert Palmer, 1901, London.
