The Poetical Works of Sir Walter Scott, in One Volume
This is a very nice one-volume book of The Poetical Works of Sir Walter Scott. It was published in London by George Rutledge and Sons, c. 1883
The book is bound in 1/4 green leather with cloth boards. The spine has five raised ridges with gold tooling design of flour de lis and gold lettering of the author and book title. The spine and hinge are in good condition. There is a bit of wear at the tail and headcap of the spine. The end pages and text block edges are marbleized.
The book was given as the General Improvement Prize by the Beaufort House, Class III, Div. A to Robert Williamson on April 25th, 1883.
There is some foxing on a few of the pages at the beginning and end of the book. But the text is clean and free of rips or marks. The book measures 7 1/2 inches high by 5 1/8 inches wide.
