Vanity Fair: A Novel Without a Hero by William Makepeace Thackeray, Illustrated, 1890
This is a 1890 edition of Vanity Fair by Thackeray. The book was published by Smith, Elder & Co., London. The book is bound in 1/4 green leather with marbleized cover boards. The spine has gilt lettering and parallel lines at top and bottom. There is wear, especially at the front hinge, at the top. Wear is also evident around the edge of the cover.
The text is in tact and clean. The fore-edges of the book are deckled or uneven which gives the books a very nice type of rough cut edged paper. The books measure 9 inches high by 6 1/16 inches wide.
